A question that I am sometimes asked, and one that you may also be pondering is…. Why BRD Gun Works LLC? Here’s the short story of why BRD Gun Works LCC came about.
I have always been an end user of the AR platform. Even today. Being a competitive shooter for 20+ years, an individual that has used firearms in professional services for 13+ years, a certified firearms instructor, and a certified AR armorer I have used my experiences and knowledge to build BRD Gun Works LLC and the services that are offered for the AR platform.
I have been that competitor that has had his factory AR take a dump that ended up costing a match win. I have been, and still am, that competitor that is pushing the performance edge of my competition AR’s. I have been that firearms instructor that has had AR’s go down unexpectedly during various courses. I have been that instructor and range personnel that “they” come to get when guns go south. While in law enforcement I saw many guns go down during qualifications. Some were catastrophic failures such as bolts breaking, while other failures were found to be the cause of poor component choices or assembly errors by the factory. As LE I’ve been in shoot houses and other training when AR’s have had functioning issues arise from being in unorthodox shooting conditions, when controls get snagged on kit or other environmental objects, or when the gun just wasn’t up to par for the conditions it was being deployed in. I have personally experienced some of the previous concerns. All of these experiences have driven me to find preventative measures that have culminated in the creation of in-depth inspections, use of vetted components, specific assembly techniques, and more.
In my time of being a competitor, during my time as a professional end user, and as my time as “civilian” gun owner one hurdle that has always plagued me and the industry is that I could never get an AR the way that I wanted it. I would have to buy a factory AR and hope that it was quality. Then I would have to purchase additional “upgraded” or replacement parts to install on the gun so that it fit me, met the needs that I required, or met the mission specific requirements for that gun. Even then I may have to replace sub-par components or address the corners that the factory cut during assembly. All of this is additional costs on top of the initial purchase of the AR. That is a lot of wasted money! This has been addressed by BRD Gun Works by providing assembly services. I work with you to address your wants and requirements to spec out a complete upper receiver group or AR so that you get what you need the first time. Saving you money in the long run.
With my devotion to the firearm and shooting industries, my journey to continually increase my knowledge base and continue to grow my skills, my meticulous attention to detail, the components used, and by standing behind all services provided, I know that my services will not let you down. This is why BRD Gun Works LLC.
Performance that you can count on when failure is not an option.
