Forward Controls Design’s exclusive stainless steel 302 10.9lb/in magazine release spring was designed to mitigate accidental/unintended magazine drop risks.

I’ve found that the extra spring rate (31% stronger) magazine spring has practical uses.  If you wear armor and have pouches on the vest, you may have experienced an unintended magazine drop. The mag release button has a fence to defend against such accidents, but under the right circumstances, a pouch or gear can still actuate the mag release button and drop the magazine.

Note: A standard mag catch spring is 8.3lb/in.
